(March 2010) Political Advisor Andre Walker Quits in Phone Scandal

Archived from March 2010:

Over the weekend a story broke in the local news of the resignation of Andre Walker a Conservative Party member and political advisor to the Royal Borough.

While the link to the article in the Windsor Express can be found here
Mr Walker was recorded on the telephone to an unknown individual by a fellow passenger on the Waterloo to Windsor and Eton Riverside line last Tuesday.
In the course of this phonecall Mr Walker is alleged to have plotted against and made rude comments about the Deputy Leader of the council Alison Knight.
You can hear a recording of the phone call that led to his resignation below (although the sound quality is understandably rather poor) you can read the transcript here under the more info section.
Mr Walkers Bio can be found here which details his involvement with Conservative future and Conservative way forward.
The Windsor Constituency Labour Party would like to add its voice to the calls for a formal investigation into this matter. We believe that it is important to determine who the individual on the other end of the phone is and ensure that this person is held to account too.
